Swim Dem Crew, an inner city swim club that believes in the power of community, hosted a masterclass with Nike Swim at the famous Parliament Hill Lido in north London.
This collaboration with Nike’s swimming division set out to highlight the degree to which swimming can be a powerful force which brings people and communities together.
The class set out to teach people how to be better and more efficient swimmers in open water.
The masterclass was promoted through a campaign, created in harness with branded content agency and director duo Rugby And Boya, that was spearheaded by online video
and supported by social media content and call to action through @nikeswim.
Comment:
Founded in the summer of 2013, the Swim Dem Crew (not an overly Hamstead organisation name it must be said) set out with a mission to get more people swimming, to make the sport more inclusive, less solitary, and a lot more social.
Much of what the group aims to do revolves around personal development and self-affirmation – using swimming as a tool to empower people.
The orgainisation desacribes itself as bold, daring, awe inspiring, coach jamming, party going, river swimming, poolside sitting, hard training and legendary.
