Creative agency DDB Spain created a platform called #HeroesDeHoy (Heroes of Today) to help fight intolerance and racism and provide users/partners with access to social projects and NGOs that the brands are committed to and can team up to work on directly.
The platform, hubbed at www.losheroesdehoy.com, brings together a coalliotion of organizations and companies – including the Professional Football League, Iberia, the Post Office, Telepizza, Clínica Baviera and 11811 – to tell stories about heroes and about collaboration.
The launch film, ‘Heroes of Today’, highlights the story about one of the 18 African American athletes who competed in the 1936 Berlin Olympic Games, Jesse Owens, and shows his journey to the stadium and his experiences around discrimination.
It thus also reflects on the racial discrimination currently to be found in sport both in Spain and around the world.
All the organisations involved are committed to social initiatives, coming together to increase their impact in the belief that by working as a team they can be much more effective.
The campaign was created by DDB client brands such as La Liga, Iberia, Correos, Telepizza, Clínica Baviera and 11811 b y a DDB team which included Executive Creative Directors Daniel Rodríguez, Nerea Cierco and Alfredo Vaz, Art Director Fernando Morate, Copywriter Arturo Dorado, Producer Beatriz Mancha, Creative Manager José Mª Roca De Viñals, Account Director Alejandro Lavezzolo, Account Executive José De La Fe and Production Director Enrique Feijoo.
