Saucony’s first ever Super Bowl spot reinforces its commitment to sustainability and goodness through a theme based around the copy: “One small step towards doing what’s good for our world.”
The spot begins with a rhetorical question: “What if the shoes we threw away, actually went away?” before announcing that the brand is developing its first biodegradable shoe.
It closes with the statement, “It’s one small step towards reducing our footprint, for good.”
“Our creative is intentionally peaceful and uplifting,” said Saucony Chief Marketing Officer Don Lane.
“We think the world needs more of this kind of goodness and that’s what we’re trying to stand for with our biodegradable product innovation and brand sensibility.”
Saucony teamed up with Boston-based creative agency Arnold Worldwide to conceive and create the campaign and worked with the visual effects production company Brickyard to ensure no shoes were wasted in production (as most were computer-generated. While all real shoes used in the spot were donated to the Boston Rescue Mission.
