Star Sports ‘Ek Saath Waali Baat’ Campaign Celebrates Covid-Era Unity & Promotes Dream11 IPL 2020

Star Sports, the official IPL broadcaster, celebrates Indian unity in fighting the pandemic in its latest IPL 2020 promotion.

 

The campaign, conceptualised by the media giant’s in-house creative team and released at the start of September, shows how the pandemic has disrupted lives but at the same time it has seen the rise of everyday heroes who have come forward to support the ones in need.

 

The lead TV promotion shows people within a community helping each other: neighbours sharing job opportunities with those who have been laid off and a people welcoming a doctor with flowers as he returns from work.

 

This spirit of hope and positivity is reflected in the Dream11 IPL – India’s most-watched sporting event – which the ad states will be even more important to the country than ever because of the pandemic.

 

 

The TVC was released in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu, Bengali, and Marathi.

 

Gautam Thakar, Star Sports CEO said: “As a country, we have always come together during testing times and we have seen the same over the last few months. There has been a greater sense of community and empathy that has demonstrated the resilience of the human spirit. The ‘Ek Saath Waali Baat’ campaign has been created with this same ethos. Dream11 IPL is the most-watched sporting event in the country and this year, it is even more special. The campaign builds on the sense of community and signals towards the much-needed emotion of hope.”
