A comic campaign in India for blockchain platform Solana saw Indian actor and film producer Arbaaz Khan play a spoof version of tennis great Roger Federer to promote the company’s latest online hackathon
The film, promoting the digital ‘Solana Grizzlython’ (which runs from 2 February to 14 March), was developed with Superteam and conceptualised by Devaiah Bopanna and Anirudh More.
The spot starts in black and white with Khan posing as the recently retired Swiss tennis super star: he appears on a tennis court wearing classic tennis attire, while a voiceover runs through many of the standout accomplishments of Federer’s career as Khan pretends to play them all out.
Comically, Khan messes up plenty of shots as he goes through the motions of what he thinks an elite tennis professional might do, before the ad closes by stating that while not everyone can become a tennis legend, they can definitely become a coding legend by signing up for the Solana ‘Grizzlython’.
