Adidas latest unlikely brand collaboration sees the German sportswear giant team up with the American fast food chain McDonald’s to launch a new pair of eye-catching, limited edition sneakers in the burger chains corporate colours leveraging their sponsorship of the All American Games.
Launched on 2 March through a PR and digital campaign, the collaboration is based around a limited edition version of adidas’ Pro Model 2G kicks and leverages both brand’s association with and support for the All-American Games basketball competition (an branded event which dates back to the 1970s and began as the annual All-Star basketball game played by American and Canadian boys’ and girls’ high school basketball graduates).
As well as the familiar Adidas three stripes, the kicks colourway design featuring the fast food company’s famous yellow and red, it also sees ‘M’ yellow arches logo on the side, the toe and the tongue of the sneakers, plus the McDonald’s ‘I’m loving it’ brand claim and the tournament logo.

This co-launch from adidas and McDonald’s comes shortly after the German sports brand’s recent work with LEGO and The Simpsons.
