AELTC, Westfield, Vodafone & Ocean Outdoor Bring In-Person Wimbledon Experience To W12 & SW11

The All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC) and communications sponsor Vodafone teamed up with retail partner Westfield and outdoor media collaborator Ocean Outdoor to present a pair of experiential tennis themed spaces alongside live tennis action across the latter’s outdoor digital screen network.

 

As well as live-streaming selected tennis highlights on 46 large format full motion digital outdoor screens in 13 UK cities from 3 July to 16 July, a 60-second highlights loop includes a live scoreboard provided by Official Information Technology Partner IBM, bespoke creative and 20 second daily match highlights throughout the duration of the event.

 

While a pair of flagship tennis themed experiential spaces – Wimbledon Experience W12 and Wimbledon Experience SW11 – in association with shopping centre behemoth Westfield..

 

Open daily through the tournament from 3 July through 16 July, tennis fans can not only watch matches from The Championships live on a large screens, but also a multi-strand experiential activation that includes table tennis, a giant Vodafone racket seat embedded in a living wall for a uniquely Vodafone, plus a Wimbledon photo opportunity, as well as a photo booth where members of the public can create an animated GIF to show their support for their favourite player on Ocean’s two large advertising screens in the square.

 

Leveraging the six year of its partnership with the All England Club, Ocean Outdoor’s new Wimbledon Experience enables fans to watch the matches live from the riverside at Battersea Power Station as well as a returning to West London’s Westfield. Open daily through the tournament, the ‘Battersea Power Station Wimbledon Experience’ is located in Power Station Park and incorporates sampling days with Wimbledon Official Partners Polo Ralph Lauren (Official Outfitter) and Sipsmith (Official Gin) over the Finals weekend.

 

In addition to the live, in-person experiences – which are Presented in association with Vodafone (Official Connectivity Partner of The Championships) – a social strand enables on-site attendees/participants to share a message of support for their favourite tennis stars by tagging @VodafoneUK across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter alongside #FeelTheConnection and they will automatically be entered into a draw to win tickets to The Championships in 2024.
