Leveraging its status as an associate sponsor of the tournament (and of the long-running, brand-backed ANZ Hot Shots kids tennis starter programme), financial brand ANZ teamed up with athlete ambassador Dylan Alcott for a tennis take on its ongoing financial literacy programme.
Alcott, the multiple Grand Slam Australian wheelchair tennis champion and Paralympian (and radio host/motivational speaker) fronts an initiative which aims to coach Australians’ finances into shape through a free, six-week email course for education, knowledge, tips and tools to help get financially fit.
The activation is led by a hero spot featuring ambassador Alcott courtside at the tournament and distracted from his TV media duties by the mobile money coaching course.
The creative seeks to boost awareness of the initiative and to drive viewers to the programme’s web platform where they can find out more details and sign-up.

This Australian Open work follows on from ANZ’s ongoing 2020/21 ‘The Wellbeing Conversation’ series – also hosted by Paralympian and ANZ endorser Alcott alongside mental health advocate Brad McEwan.
It features unscripted video call conversations with ANZ leaders and external experts on a range of topics relating to wellbeing to help customers navigate COVID-19 and beyond and covers topics such as flexible working, overcoming fear, identity and trust, resilience and staying physically active.
It also follows in the footsteps of ANZ’s award-winning Australian Open work with Alcott and Nike from 2019.
