Belgium online betting company betFIRST launched a new European brand campaign at the start of March called ‘First In Fast’
The campaign is led by a cinematic 30-second hero spot set in an urban landscape featuring a group of charismatic cool kids characters who ooze attitude and style and seeks to reflect the fast and convenient lifestyles betFIRST feels its customers live and its online betting offering provides.
The fast paced film move through the narrative arc with a choppy and changing rhythm alternating between high speed and slow motion with a sense of fluidity.
The spearhead ad runs across TV in Belgium and online in Belgium, France and the Netherlands.
The campaign was created by agency Mutant Brussels, with production handled by Hamlet and Director Julien et Quentin.
“We really enjoyed making this film! The creative idea of exploiting the topic of speed spoke to us very quickly, as did the staging, the cinematography, the movement and transitions, and the dynamic sound,” commented Julien Martorell (who is one half of directing duo Julien et Quentin).
Odin Saillé, Creative Director at Mutant, added: “Julien & Quentin were tasked with translating ‘speed’ into a fresh visual language that’s still comprehensible and entertaining to look at. They succeeded at visualizing this in a multitude of creative ways: from shape deformation on a football, to high pitched voice effects and first person point of views that transported me back to the DooM days.”
The campaign was created by Mutant where the agency team included Creative Director Odin Saillé, Creatives Cedric Trefois and Catherine Hermans, Client Director Emilie Kino and Client Manager Shiqi Ji.
The production company was Hamlet (Brussels) with Director Julien & Quentin, Executive Producers Ruben Goots and Jason Felstead,Producer Pim Verhaert, Post-Producer Dominique Ruys, Director Of Photography Wim Vanswijgenhoven, Art Directo: Myrthe Douma with styling by Nathalie L’hermitte and editing from Alexis Benoit.
Music was handled by Sonhouse with Colorist Xavier Dockx and the VFX company was Divide.
