Bridgestone ‘Chase Your Dreams’ Expands in South Africa Via Semenya’s ‘Woman Of Strength’

Worldwide Olympic Partner Bridgestone’s latest creative in its ongoing ‘Chase Your Dreams’ Tokyo 2020 platform sees Bridgestone South Africa roll out a new film telling the powerful story of one of the world’s most iconic athletes – Caster Semenya.

 

The film explore Semenya’s dreams, the resilience instilled in her by her family and community and showcases how she has powered her way through the criticism of her doubters – turning the negativity she experienced into positivity.

 

The primary objective is to introduce Semenya as a Bridgestone South Africa Olympic ambassador – alongside gold medal marathon runner Josia Thugwane and Olympic siler medal winning rower Lawrence Brittain.

 

The spot was launched on Bridgestone SA’s YouTube channel on 15 March and will be shown across a range of international broadcast and social channels including TV in South Africa.

 

It comes in a 60-second and three-minute version.

 

 

The Semenya spot was quickly followed by matching online videos shining the spotlight on Bridgestone South Africa’s two other Olympic ambassadors Josia Thugwane and Lawrence Brittain.

 

 

 

The campaign was created by sport and entertainment agency WeAreFearless in harness with fellow agency Golazo and the Newton Agency, as well as Levergy SA.
