In the build up to the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, the ECB calls for fans to get behind the England team through its hashtag-led #LoveEngland campaign.
Launched in early February England fans are encouraged to post their own inspirational team talks, videos, pictures and messages on social media using #LoveEngland.
A selection of the best messages will be shown on the campaign digital hub on before each game.
The initiative also aims to provide fans with England content right through the tournament: including access to the latest news through the ECB digital channels, including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
The campaign includes a online assets, banners and buttons, plus a series of support-based YouTube clips from the great and the good, such as Mike Gatting,
as well as Man City’s England football stars.
‘As always our fans can make a real difference,’ commented England captain Eoin Morgan. The boys can’t wait for your messages of support!’
Comment
With the launch of #LoveEngland, the ECB hope to see an increase in the number of adults (age 16 and above) playing cricket regularly.
To achieve this increase the ECB are encouraging clubs to host social leagues and competitions.
Ability is irrelevant, the ECB want to see people getting active and having fun with cricket.
