France Star Mbappé Leads Ambassador Line Up For Hublot Euro 2020 Podcast Series & Model Launch

UEFA Euro 2020 sponsor Hublot launched its tournament activation on 12 May through a dual track campaign based around a limited edition watch launch and the debut of the ‘Hublot Fusion Podcast’ series.

 

The podcast thematic concept is ‘The Values Of Victory’ and it identifies the 12 universal values of victory – solidarity, union, passion, commitment, inclusion, equality, friendship, justice, respect, fair play, tolerance and sharing – which underpin each guest interview in the series.

 

The visual identity graphically explores soundwaves as a mechanism to lay the foundation for what will become a long-term podcast platform for the Swiss watchmaking manufacturer.

 

The watch brand teamed up with agency Huge to develop the concept, structure and visual identity of the podcast which sees France and PSG super star Kylian Mbappé as the first guest on the brand’s new football-focused podcast series which features interviews with a team of soccer legends and ambassadors.

 

The inaugural season consist of 12 episodes featuring interviews with players from past and present such as Xherdan Shaqiri and Pelé, plus other Hublot athlete ambassadors like Kevin Pietersen and Usain Bolt and the series is hosted by French sports broadcast journalist Anne-Laure Bonnet.

 

The idea is that the podcast forms a fusion of conversations between people from all walks of life from football and other sports to art, design and manufacturing and beyond to offer varied perspectives linked through a united commitment to bravery and boldness.

 

Hubbed on Hublot.com and available on all major podcast platforms, the podcast was socially teased on 11 May and is primarily promoted through a PR and digital campaign linked by the #HublotLovesFootball #BigBangE #euro2020 campaign hashtags

 

 

 

The opening episode, ‘Solidarity With Kylian Mbappe’ sees the striker talk about the meaning of being one of the best active player striker and how diversity in the dressing room is the creator of solidarity.

The podcast launch complements the limited release, 1000 piece release of the ‘Big Bang e UEFA Euro 2020tm’ connected watch: an enhanced version of the brand’s 2018 model, timed to the kick-off of  UEFA EURO 2020 and exclusively available on the brand’s e-commerce platform.
