Gatorade has teamed up with TikTok and a team of athlete ambassadors to promote its ‘Gatorade Tryouts’ initiative which is inviting consumers to apply to join the sports drink brand’s first ever official social squad: which it describes as a brand-backed group of athletes who flex their talents in the game and on social.
A TikTok based video campaign running across the brand’s own channel and the personal TikTok feeds of some of its professional sports endorsers, with additional content on Gatorade’s Twitter feed, offers users of the social video platform a chance to tryout to represent the brand by creating their own compelling content which hypes up athletes everywhere.
The work invites US consumers aged 16 or older to post their own self-generated sports content – ranging from sharing unrivaled shot accuracy, unique game day rituals and displays of daily training hustle – with the #GatoradeTryouts hashtag as an application to become an an official member of Gatorade’s endorser family.
