The start of March saw Leeds United FC sponsor Hisense launch a new content series called ‘United At Home’ offering fans a sneak peek behind-the-scenes at the club.
The inaugural ‘FIFA Challenge’ video in the series is set a snowy Elland Road Stadium and features club stars Gjanni Alioski and Pascal Strujik who are surprised with a gaming set-up in the ground’s South Stand – complete with a Hisense 100’-inch 4K HDR Laser TV – on which the duo kicked off a game of EA Sports FIFA 21 (another Leeds official partner).

The activation is further supported by a joint brand/club list building initiative in the form of a signed Leeds shirt and ball competition which fans can enter by following @hisenseuk and @leedsunited, liking the post and tagging @hisenseuk and @leedsunited in a photo that shows how much of a fan you are.
“I’m really pleased with the way in which we are working with Hisense to bring our partnership to life,” commented Leeds United FC Global Head Of Content Aaron Duckmanton. “By creating original, authentic content that connects product with our fan’s interests, passions and the first team, we are able to create meaningful engagement across our digital platforms.”
The activation, developed in harness with Leeds-based sports PR, social and events agency Hatch, also dovetails with the arrival of the club’s Elland Road stadium into the list of more than 90 stadiums in which gamers can play FIFA 21 across Kick-Off, Career Mode and FIFA Ultimate Team.
Comment:
The campaign is one of the first sponsor activations since Hisense became an official club partner at the end of 2020 with a rights package that included sponsoring the Jack Charlton East Stand at Elland Road, in-stadium branding and player access as well as a number of other commercial rights.
Hisense joins a Leeds sponsor stable which also includes Adidas, SBOTOP, Clipper and JD Sports, as well as TransUnion, Burflex, Astonish, Vitality and Bet365.
