LG’s Global ‘100 Greatest Fans’ Story-Led Campaign Activates ICC World Cup

LG Electronics, a global ICC partner, kicked off its Cricket World Cup 2015 activation with a campaign called the ‘LG 100 Greatest Fans’ competition-led campaign.

 

Crickets fans across the world were incentivised to show their own love of the game by upload their own cricket stories in the form of photos, videos and messages to the campaign digital hub at www.lg100greatestfans.com.

 

Across the global campaign, LG will give 14 winners from each of the 14 participating nations the chance to travel to Melbourne, Australia on 29 March to watch the final.

 

The campaign was promoted through a long-form, comic spot.

 

 

Other aspects of LG’s activation programme include a branded Trophy Tour and an LG Signature campaign.

 

The ICC Trophy tour showcased the tournament and gave fans an opportunity to experience the spirit of the game up close and to ‘feel the zeal that drives each team to win the title’.

 

 

While the Signature campaign invites cricket fans to sign on a 30-foot long bat placed next to the trophy marking their good wishes and good luck messages.
