A September campaign for Vodafone Egypt saw the Liverpool FC attacker and national team skipper Mohamed Salah fly to the moon.
The message behind the campaign seeks to encourage and inspire viewers to challenge themselves while Vodafone will support them in bringing them closer to their dream.
As the football star and the ad copy stat6es: “Our strength is that nothing can stop us #challengingyourself and we will bring you closer to your dream #with_some_stronger”.
The campaign was created for the global telco giant by Wunderman Thompson Cairo with Madam Films with a three-day film and stills shoot taking place across London from the famous Printworks club to West London’s Trellick Tower, the Westway road and Porchester Baths.
The hero ad was helmed by Director Virgil Ferragut and the stills were shot by Matt Stansfield, with Stitch editor Phil Currie and animation and post-production by UPP, plus sound from MassiveMusic.
“A thrilling full production with opportunities to test our production mettle such as dealing with a huge warehouse space as a multi setup studio setting. When Mo Salah shares the same initials as you though, anything is possible,” commented Madam Films Producer Michelle Stapleton.

Salah has long been a key brand ambassador for the telco in Egypt and this campaign follows on from a 2018 marketing push for a ‘Mo Salah World Tariff’ mobile package.
Salah is also an ambassador for several other brands including Adidas, Joie Baby and Pepsi.
