MMA TV Debuts Trailer For New ‘Find A Star’ Mixed Martial Arts Talent Series

In mid-January the combat sports specialist streaming platform MMA TV launched a trailer for a new mixed martial arts talent search series called ‘Find A Star’.

The show’s first episode will air on 24 January and the series was conceived by MMA TV Founder and CEO Siju Roseje and will follow the progress of 20 contestants who were all shortlisted after a UK-wide appeal to find promising fighters who had not fought in the cage/ring before.

The contenders include a care worker from Walsall, a horse groom from Huntingdon and an electrician from Plymouth.

The candidates will go through a tough training programme and a series of bootcamps guided by a panel of judges (which includes Roseje, UAE Warriors heavyweight champion Chi Lewis-Parry, KSW fighter Jason Radcliffe, Oktagon MMA’s Alex Lahore and Prim3’s Matt Carroll).

The winners will secure a lucrative multi-fight contract with promoter Prim3, a long-term contract with Mogul Management and a one-year sponsorship deal with RDX Sports and they will also star in a Prime3 fly-on-the-wall documentary series building up to their bouts.

The debut trailer for MMA TV’s ‘Find A Star’ dropped across its streaming, digital and social channels on 17 January and seeks to drive viewers online to find out more about the show at http://mmatv.com.

The spearhead trailer was supported by additional content including a set of social posts.

“It will be a hard process for these talented fighters to make it to the final so they’d better impress and grab this rare opportunity with both hands,” explained MMA TV Founder and Find A Star judge Siju Roseje. “We’re looking for well-rounded fighters with big personalities who can deliver in the cage and, judging by what we’ve seen so far, the fight to the top will be fierce!”

MMA TV, which signed a multi-year partnership with Samsung TV Plus, has exclusive rights to stream ONE Championship and PFL MMA action in the UK.

This initiative follows in the footsteps of a slew of other sports talent search shows such as New Zealand telco 2degree’s ‘Second Chance Charlie’ Super Rugby player search show.
