NFL super star and Super Bowl winner Patrick Mahomes and US LPGA Tour golfer and Olympic Gold medallist Nelly Korda front a new ‘Unlock Yourself’ campaign for WHOOP to launch the fitness wearables and analytics company’s Whoop 4.0 range.
The Boston based human performance technology, fitness wearables, and analytics company – which was originally known as Bobo Analytics – teamed up with LA creative and production outfit Stept Studios to launch a suite of new creative promoting WHOOP 4.0 and WHOOP Body.
The creative promotes the brand’s latest products and also highlights WHOOP member benefits and features Mahomes and Korda who are both brand ambassadors and amongst the increasing number of elite athletes (and Fortune 500 CEOs) who utilize WHOOP.
Rather than seeking a big campaign idea and creative concept, WHOOP was looking for an authentic campaign built through a genuine creative partnership and the brief was to ‘give a complete and aspirational description of the ability for WHOOP to elevate the individual training and recovery experience for all athletes and deliver a cohesive story of all of its capabilities’.
Stept worked with the client on both the strategic, objective, creative and end-to-end campaign production.
The WHOOP 4.0 CGI enhanced executions saw Stept’s at Hall direct a full-throttle ad campaign consisting of 15 unique cuts and still image photography with dynamic, sports-driven edits that blend the training, recovery and diversity of WHOOP members (including Mahomes, Korda and surfer John John Florence to demonstrate the product features that make WHOOP 4.0 different from other wearables on the market.
For WHOOP Body the team created a pair of 30- and 15-second films announcing the launch of the brand’s line of technical and everyday garments which are compatible with WHOOP 4.0 featuring fashion-influenced visuals of athletic prowess blended with exhilarating edits aimed at demonstrate the clothing line’s key features of style and function.
