Regular Paddy Power pitchman and former player Peter Crouch fronts the betting brand’s Euro 2020 ‘Switch For Better’ spot which fronts its tournament-linked campaign created by agency VCCP which showcases how much there is to be gained by switching.
Crouch joins a cast of fans and colourful characters in the TV commercial which sees the former England striker drives home the benefits of switching around surrounded by supporters wearing shirts of many of the various clubs crouch has played for: including Spurs, QPR, Plymouth, Aston Villa and Liverpool.
The spot’s switching theme even sees Crouch wrap a German fan in an England flag while saying “Es kommt nach Hause” (German for “It’s coming home”).
It closes with the message that “If the grass looks greener… go and play on it”.
As Crouch says, if the grass looks greener – go and play on it.
