Sky Sports is inviting football fans to ‘Take Your Seat’ for the new 2018/19 season in a new campaign developed in harness with creative agency Adam & Eve/DDB.
The aims of the new campaign is to generate buzz and leverage excitement of the start of football season and bring this to life through a blockbuster spot which sees fans of every kind and of every club rush to a stadium all carrying their own seats.
The tagline urges supporters to ‘Take your seat for the new football season’ and references Sky’s coverage of not only the Premier League, but also the Sky Bet EFL and Scottish Premiership.
As well as running across UK commercial channels and Sky’s own stations, the video is amplified across all the usual social and digital channels with supporting pieces.

The commercial was created by an Adan & Eve / DDB team led by writer Darren Beresford and art director by Richard Gayton and it was directed by Sam Brown through Rogue Films.

A whimsical, but epic spot that reminds us a little of the award winning Sony Playstation ‘Mountain’ commercial from back in 2003.
Released in the same week as rival BT Sport’s own ‘Beat Them All’ commercial (see case study) and it follows in the footsteps of last year’s ‘Feel It All’
and 2016’s Beckham fronted ‘It Could Happen’.
