What makes a great cricketer?
According to Australian cricket legend and long-time Swisse ambassador Ricky Ponting it is ‘all the little things’.
At least that’s his proposition in a new ad campaign spearheaded by a commercial that sees the former Aussie skipper take viewers back to basics in the suburbs of Melbourne where he reflects on the small details that go into achieving success.
Ponting narrates the new film which aims to offer viewers insights into the little things and the supportive people that lead to cricketing success.
The one-percenters, the unseen preparation, the life-long focus and the attention to detail that all form the healthy habits: these are things that make the difference when it counts.
The TV work is also supported across the brand’s social platforms using the #AllTheLittleThings hashtags along with additional campaign content (including a ‘behind the scenes’ spot posted via the Swisse Twitter feed.

The new campaign, which leverages current Australian interest in the sport as its cricket season is in full flow with the iconic Boxing Day Test (which Swisse itself socially linked its own brand and campaign to in its Twitter feed by retweeting related posts such as)

and the faster format Big Bash, also contends that by paying attention to the details everyone can work towards achieving their goals
Part of a wider summer Swisse initiative fronted by Australia’s greatest Test and One-Day run scorer, it aims to inspire Australians to learn new skills, meet new people, get fit and get enough sleep to ‘be the best version of yourself’.
The ad is written and directed by Gen C and shot on location with Noisy Beast and Cognition, the team included director Jack White, DOP Henry Gosper, producer Nicholas Cox and editor Henry Gosper.

Swisse (who’s other athlete ambassadors include tennis star Leyton Hewitt) is an Australian company committed to making people healthier and happier and its current product range spans multivitamins and dietary supplements, to sports nutrition, skincare and functional foods.
With all those 2016 resolutions still knocking around, what better time for a health and wellness brand like Swisse to launch a campaign encouraging and inspiring consumers to be ‘the best version’ of themselves than New Year?
And, with so much cricket action during the Australian summer ensuring the game and its stars at the top of mind, what better brand endorser to choose than Ponting?
