Narrated by Commonwealth Games England President Denise Lewis, Commonwealth Games England marked six months since the UK lockdown began via a new spot, titled ‘Living Through History’, which celebrates the work that Team England has done to maintain preparation, excitement and enthusiasm as the country builds towards the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.
The objective is to highlights the adaptability and commitment that Team England’s stars have demonstrated during the pandemic: how they have united communities and stayed focused on their goal of bringing success to the nation in Birmingham in two years’ time.
Themed around ways the people have supported each other thus far through COVID-19, and knowing that more difficult days lie ahead, the film is part of the wider ‘Living Through History’ campaign which aims to highlight the adaptability that English athletes have show during the pandemic (staying focused and uniting communities).
It features 40 sports stars (such as Paralympic powerlifter Ali Jawad and rugby union star Heather Fisher) and showcases all 19 sports that will make up the Games.
“As a nation, we have supported each other to get through these tough times. We look certain to experience more difficult days ahead, but to mark the fact that we have worked together to help each other through these unprecedented times, Team England is today releasing its ‘Living Through History‘ campaign video.”
Outcome:
