On 27 October Team GB marked 100 days to go until the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Beijing with an action-packed online video to build excitement and boost support ahead of the Games.
Produced by LiveWire Sport and titled simply ‘Beijing 2022 | 100 Days To Go’ the spot was amplified across the team’s digital and social platforms during late October.
Team GB (the Great Britain and Northern Ireland Olympic Team run by the British Olympic Association) states in the spot’s copy that: “From sun to snow. A new season, a different Olympics, but the same Team GB. 100 days to go until the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games”.
Using the #TeamGB and #Beijing2022 hashtags, the spot seeks to persuade viewers to subscribe to the team’s social channel in order to build followers and support.

The 100 days to go point is pitched by the team as an important staging post for the British athletes training hard to add their names to the list,
To date, only six curlers are assured a place on the plane. The final British squad which travels to China will compete across the seven sports in 15 disciplines over 109 events.
There are seven new event additions to the 2022 schedule including mixed team competitions in freestyle skiing aerials, ski jumping, snowboard cross and short track, while the women’s monobob adds a solo element to a sport which retains its two-man, two-woman and four-man disciplines. Plus ‘Big Air’ will also make its debut appearance in Beijing.
