The FA & Thomas Lyte Celebrate New 5-Year Trophy & Silverware Tie-Up Via FA Cup Restoration Film

Comment:

Thomas Lyte is a specialist in silverware and trophy design and manufacture and its other famous trophies include the Rugby World Cup’s Webb Ellis Trophy, the Davis Cup trophy, the Guinness Six Nations trophy and the new British & Irish Lions tour trophy.

You’d think that as The FA Cup trophy itself has been stolen (back in 1895), used as a drinking vessel by tipsy victorious players, taken to numerous pubs and even to bed by a winning captain it might need regular restoration, but today’s stars are somewhat more gentle with the trophy than the players’ of yesteryear.
