All England Lawn Tennis Club partners Vodafone UK and outdoor media owner Ocean Outdoor brought Wimbledon 2022 to W12 and to other high footfall UK spaces in 11 UK cities for an OOH tennis and viewing experience initiative running across OO’s full motion network.
Ocean will also carry selected highlights from The Championships across its full motion network including 35 large format screens in 11 UK cities. The video loop includes 60 seconds of Wimbledon content including a live scoreboard provided by official data provider IBM, bespoke creative and 20 second daily match highlights throughout the duration of the tournament.
The outdoor set-ups offer tennis fans a chance to watch The Championships live on giant screens within English garden themed landscapes complete with lawns, flower beds, livings walls and refreshment areas.
The flagship activation is the ‘Wimbledon Experience W12’: built at Westfield Square and presented in association with Westfield London and the All England Club’s Official Partners the experience is free and open for a fortnight from 27 June to 1 July.
Vodafone, the Official Connectivity partner of the Championships, also feature as part of the activations with a ‘Wimbledon Walk of Champions’: a unique virtual reality experience that gives fans the chance to step behind closed doors and retrace the steps of Wimbledon champions. This activation strand enables fans to walk the same path as previous champions, through the historic corridors and onto Centre Court.
The Vodafone experience is available to visitors at the Wimbledon Experience W12 throughout the Championships and is also be available onsite at the Championships and via a mobile experience for fans at home.

“By bringing SW19 to W12, visitors to Westfield London will be able to soak up the atmosphere and action of The Championships as it happens,” explained Director of Ocean Labs Catherine Morgan. “The W12 Experience is also a chance for Wimbledon partners to connect directly with families and tennis fans all within the setting of an English summer garden.”

Alongside the BBC’s brilliant broadcast coverage, it is great to be extending the Wimbledon feeling across the UK through this partnership with Ocean Outdoor and their full motion network.”

Ocean is now in the fifth year of its partnership with the All England Club and this initiative follows previous years’ experiences as well as a raft of other sports-related projects such as its 2022’s ParalympicsGB initiative, while Vodafone’s Wimbledon 2022 activations include a multi-strand ‘Feel The Connection‘ campaign and a Snapchat Lens activation.
